is £200 expensive for servicing and cleaning a matthew norman chiming carriage clock?
have been quoted £200 to clean and service our matthew norman chiming carriage clock. Is it worth spending this money on it. We have had it from new for 27 years.

Depending on what specifically "servicing" covers, it seems rather high. I used to do Grandfather clock servicing, and our average call was less than $50 to clean, oil and generally service any clock that did not have a specific problem.
Well I paid £100 to have my watch cleaned and pressurised so not really.
sounds about right but make sure its with a company that knows what it is doing and that they are fully insured
not really too high. how many clock mechanics do you know?
