Can you advise on the care of an antique carriage clock?
I've just had it mended and want to keep it in good condition but it's been so long since it worked that I can't remember how much and how often to wind it!

Wind it up until the tensiongives resistance. It will probably take at least 4 /5 turns, and see how long it runs for. That will give you an idea anyhow
never wind any clock up to the last wind but if its 24hour then make sure you wind it every day if 7 day then likewise but always keep it working never let it idle for long periods
wind it till the tension becomes fairly tight but not too tight and wind it once a day
