I have an anniversary clock that my father gave me about 25 years ago. The balls do not spin anymor
The clock is a Benchmark clock, with a wooden roof and is 6 or 8 sided with white designs on the glass. My paster tried to fix it, but said that he had never seen anything like it. It doen't have a place for a battery to power the balls. The clock keeps good time, but without the spinning it is not as pretty. My dad is in the last stages of Alzheimer's and I would like to get the clock fixed to remember the better days when he loved me and knew who I was.
How do I find operating instructions for an Elgin tabletop anniversary clock?
I have an Elgin anniversary clock and I cannot get the number of "dongs" on the hour to match up with the time. (i.e. When it is 5:00 it should "dong" 5 times. How can I do this?)

Should I get a clock or paper gift for our first year anniversary gift for my wife?
I'm trying to decide to get my wife a small Frank Lloyd Wright clock or should I go the traditional route of paper. Is it better to go traditional or modern? Money is out of the question as it is very impersonal on top of that money is real tight right now.
Depends on your wife's likes/dislikes. Do you think she might keep the clock somewhere to get dusty and forget about it by this time next ... See More

How do I go about selling anniversary clock from the 1940's for parts. Clock has stopped working?
Where do I advertise? These old parts would be of use because the clock isn't manufactured anymore.
The best way I found to sell my old clocks either running or not is on eBay. It's the easiest to do and I almost always sell my items. See More
Does anyone know where I might find a domed anniversary clock that plays a selection of different so
I used to have one but lost "custody" of it in my divorce. It was bought at Fred Gattas back in the early 90's. It played songs on the hour. I believe there was a selection of about 12 different ones. Do they still make them with the different song selections?
I'm not sure about anniversary clocks that play different songs. But I know of a place that sells them with the Westminster Melody with ... See More

Would an antique anniversary clock be a good wedding gift from me to my bride since she doesn't lik
An anniversary clock is one of those glass domed clocks with the rotating pendulums that used to be so ubiquitous in old peoples homes when I was a kid. My parents have one from when they were first married. It is called an anniversary clock because it only has to be wound once a year... thus, you can always wind it up on your anniversary. The new ones defeat the purpose because they are quartz movement and run on batteries... thus, retardedly, don't need to be wound...
I love antiques and think its a great gift, somethingshe can adore and pass down later. Good for you what a great guy :) See More

Should I get the clock or the globe for my 20 year company anniversary gift?
I need to choose a gift from a list of options. I am stuck between the clock and the globe. The clock is a classy desk clock about ten inches high and trimmed in a dark wood. The globe has a metal holder and is mounted on a statue of Atlas. I don't really need a clock, but it's the more traditional anniversary reminder, the classic option... What do you think?
I think I would go with the globe. That way when you are having a rough day you can always give it a spin and see where you should travel ... See More

I need a slide-mount removable am-fm-cd cassette player, Are slide-mounts still made by anyone?
Due to the times, it seems I can't have a removable face plate cd radio re-installed. Even without the detachable face plate, there are ways to get them on the internet. I want a stereo am-fm-cd with cassette, or am-fm-cd player for my car. I need, a slide mounting bracket, where I have to remove the radio every single night. This bit of inconvenience is well worth it. Does any store, person, or installation place do the slide-mount or bracket mount stereos anymore? I realize I'd have to re-program a clock and so on. But, in 6 months, I've been through 2 cars and 3 stereos.
